Extinction Event: Tom Character Blog

“To truly laugh, you must be able to take your pain, and play with it!”

- Charlie Chaplin

What will be Covered?

Seeing as Tom is a very general character, everything he’s ever been in will be included. There's no real way to build a definitive canon, so it’s much like Looney Tunes or a Disney cartoon or even something like Mario games where nearly EVERYTHING is fair game for canon. This is primarily due to how many different versions of Tom there are, how many different medias he’s been in, and how many different times he’s been rebooted (though in defense not bad portion of Tom & Jerry media reference their Hanna Barbera era); it’d be way too hard to selectively choose which Toms are and aren’t canon so it’s best to just use all of them. This will include the shows, games, movies, advertisements, comics, crossovers, and even anime, would you look at that!

Background

Thomas 'Jasper' Cat

In the creative world of 2D animation, a wondrous realm where stories and slapstick unfold, Tom and Jerry stand as colossal animated figures, embodying that era. Their creator, William Hanna, drew inspiration from a 1932 cartoon titled 'Puss Gets the Boot,' depicting a cat named 'Jasper' chasing a mouse amidst an extremely chaotic environment. Hanna, enthralled by the chaotic humor, embarked on creating a show with his partner Joseph Barbera, featuring everyone's beloved cat and mouse duo, 'Tom & Jerry,' while also infusing much-needed personality into the characters. They drew inspiration from sources like Charlie Chaplin and various silent films to craft this cell-animated production. Since then, Tom and Jerry have become inseparable in the animated industry, chasing each other across various locations globally, different time periods, and even within entirely different animated properties like Willy Wonka and the Wizard of Oz. This duo has truly done it all. In their extensive journey, they've accomplished so much that it's challenging to piece together a cohesive story. Yet, that's the magic of it all—wherever and whenever they appear, Tom and Jerry ensure the chase begins anew.

General Experience & Occupations

Length of Experience

While many people might not be aware, Tom has actually been around a REALLY long time, like a REALLY REALLY long time; he’s been alive since the prehistoric age when Dinosaurs were roaming around. This means that Tom is around 100 Million Years Old (which is said in the scan above), with such a lengthy lifespan you can expect a LOT of separate experience, which is what we’ll dive into below… there’s a LOT, good luck.

House Cat

Well hey, we gotta start from the origins right? Tom, for most of his history known as a house cat, you know, your average living cat who sleeps everywhere asks to eat, maybe even takes the food he shouldn’t take, but obviously he lives here not just to be nice and eat twice. Whatever his home may be and whoever his owner could be his purpose is always the same, catch the pesky little mouse and keep it away from the house (after all, catching the mouse is in his DNA- no literally he has his own unique strand of DNA). Which he’s been doing for quite awhile, not always effectively but occasionally with actual Ws. All you need to know is with this Cat in the house, a mouse most certainly won’t be in it…because he’ll probably blow it up while catching it.

Shadow Puppetry

Tom is an expert at hand signs to the point that he’s able to make Shadow Puppets so convincing it makes people run away in fear.

Musician

Tom has really played just about everything: from Ukulele in the Robin Hood movie, to Violin in the Jack movie, Electric Keyboard im the 2021 movie, and an Accordion in the Pirate movie. One time Tom managed to study and play the piano, and only after some basic lessons he already managed to play piano perfectly even by legs without looking. His skills were so good it was a matter of time until he played for the king himself. Tom is also the undisputed King of Rap, who with his amazing talent in music, won all the awards in the industry, as well as Tom worked as kapellmeister. Hell, one of the other episodes where Tom plays piano is very notable due to animators portraying piano play near accurately. A notable achievement for its time. (Tom sorta just seems to be capable of playing whatever instrument he picks up on the fly) Though on the opposite end of the spectrum, if Tom wants to cause some real misery, he can play music so bad it’ll make you spontaneously cry and shatter overtime.

Dancer

Tom’s had a very deep connection with dancing, we’ve all seen him dance before, but he’s such a good Dancer that he’s won multiple contests and competitions.

Philosopher

Tom is a gifted Philosopher who opened up his own School to directly oppose Karl Moux, one that was inspired by his thoughts of catching Mice, ‘Felineism’.

Wedding Planner

Tom can plan your Weddings! What more could you ask for, Tom cat… picking the location for your Wedding, yeah- you’re probably in danger.

Cowboy

He’s consistently been a well admired Cowboy. You know, good ol 'lasso, revolvers, a horse, cigar all in one package. But aside from that, his cowboy roles were even a bit more than that - he’s been a Sheriff, a Nightstalker, Cowboy of Mechanical Age, a Space Cowboy, even a Cowboy who is a Great Inventor of the Victorian Era who even has own mechanical bull. Neat stuff huh

Guard

Tom is actually an insanely well trained Guard, he’s been considered the strongest Guard throughout the entire Cat Kingdom, to the point where he was granted the title of Captain! He’s been inducted into the Military as part of the Field Corps as well due to his Guards position giving him even more training, as well as a Stealth Ops… finally; he became an Imperial Watchman, and the commander of the Queen’s Royal Guards (this sort of skill is backed up by how he has officially trained with the Queen’s Guards outside of the Chase game). In his Cyber Hunter Gear he can summon hard light constructs of himself and dogs.

Infinite Legends

One of the Tom’s sub-occupations of the guard is when he wears a giant epic mech-costume with a badass sword, concluding the mysteries of time and space, traveling through multiple time and space, and maintaining the peace of multiple time and space (you gotta admit Tom looks badass in this suit).

Swordsman

Tom is a Musketeer through and through, he’s considered the best Swordsman in the Kingdom, and he’s even implied to be the MOST SKILLED swordsman in the World. Tom was not only capable of fighting Jerry who has training from Robin Hood but also was capable of holding off the King’s Sheriff and an army of swordsmen in the Robin Hood movie. As shown Tom is pretty much good with all kinds of swords, whether it be longsword (see above and below), a rapier, a sable, even a katana!

King

If the silly gacha game hasn't surprised you yet, Tom also was a king. Though not exactly the first time he had a role of royalty, after all he often lived in one place with the King in Dell Comics run and technically gained the crown in the episode Grumpelstiltskin of the 2014 show. This Tom has a royal status, incredible sword skills and loyal royal guards who look like card guards you’d see in Alice in Wonderland.

Regiment Army

Tom has plenty of experience with the Military, but one of the most obscure Job Descriptions he’s ever done is become a part of a Regiment Army that stormed the Sahara desert.

Grocery Store Manager

Tom’s a very well-known Store Keeper and Manager, in fact it’s probably one of his most well known jobs! (Jerry sure is a pester though…)

Chef

In the short Tom and Jerry Manga Spinoff, Tom became a Cook for Jerry’s alternate personalities- yeah that sure was a sentence, he’s quite talented though. (the anime artstyle is super cute)

Train Conductor

Tom’s had his fair share of train work, though his most important to note is that he himself is a Conductor.

Soccer Player

HE BALLIN’ (Soccer Edition)

Cabin Boy / Pirate

Tom is an experienced Cabin Boy having served the Red Pirates during their reign in search of a fabled treasure. During this time, he betrayed his Captain and became his OWN Pirate alongside Jerry (where they somehow outdid the Pirates in every way).

Hedge Sculptor

Tom is excellent at hedge-trimming to the point where he can make beautiful sculptures on a whim.

Zookeeper

How- Why- He’s an animal… but I guess certain animals have more rights…?

Shofer

Pretty straight forward, Tom can park your car, now where did a cat learn to drive?

Construction Worker

Throughout his Career Work he’s been into Construction multiple times, he’s constructed multiple different large buildings and structures, he even made his own mansion (albeit it only took a few seconds and lacked structural integrity… but that’s what happens when you rush a job)

Hotel Room service

We shall never deny a guest even the most ridiculous request

Butler

One of Tom's other occupations was as the Butler in the English castle of a rich person. Fast, patient and precise - as a butler, Tom was always near to perform all possible commands to make things as perfect as possible.

Maid

Tom also got around to work as a maid. It was temporary but he was doing job pretty clean and clear, while Jerry was abusing his privileges.

Knight

Tom has shown multiple times throughout the years that he is a skilled Knight and has strong resistant knight armor. He had plenty of weapons: Axes, Swords, Bows, and more… but his favorite seems to be Maces and Ball n’ Chain type weapons.

Magician

Tom is a very good magician, with his magic tricks he is capable of stretching objects like his clothes, hypnosis, levitation, enlarging, summoning objects or creatures into existence, can make people disappear, and can null magic.

Zen Master

Given how angry Tom's gotten at Jerry, you'd think this is a bad pick for him, but he's very capable of keeping calm and living a peaceful meditative lifestyle.

Lab Partner

Tom's got some scientific background, he's been a scientist's partner and assistant a multitude of times, helping make revolutionary breakthroughs in the world.

Lifeguard

Tom’s pretty selfless when the situation calls for it and in this position he’s maintaining safety and saving lives regularly.

Detective

Tom and Jerry also had a big history as detectives, having their own Cat & Mouse detective agency. They’ve got plenty of cases in the career minimum over 40, some of which include even their teamwork with Sherlock Holmes himself!

Secret Agent

Tom just so happens to be a Secret Agent, given barely anyone knows that fact shows how good he is.

Usher (Manager)

Tom’s an Usher for Movies and Shows, making sure to diligently take tickets and keep a lookout for any hooligans who may enter without one.

Lift Operator

Did Blud just beat a client up in 4K, aside from that he’s a pretty good operator.

Trapeze Artist

Tom’s been a part of the circus plenty of times, but he also happens to be a very talented Trapeze Artist, he doesn’t even need a net to catch him.

Supervillain “Chef”

Another time Tom also was a “villain” who was enslaving mice to create special sweet snacks for dogs. Dogs were so addicted to said snack that they could do literally anything to get it, even going back to the cage from which they were released for instance. But aside from this special “drug” Tom had some special weapons on his sleeve, like pepper gun which upon use can make you sneeze, or a chili pepper cannon that shoots chili peppers and make your mouth feel agonizing spiciness, or a banana peel launcher that makes you flip every step.

PETA Associate

He’s an animal, working for an animal rights association, that finds animals… who tf thought it was a good idea to let this Cat work for PETA.

Tomker

But that wasn’t a moment when Tom stopped, another time when Jerry was basically playing the role of ”Batman”, Tom took himself the role of Joker. Who is cunning enough to have himself a whole crew of cats. And he wouldn’t have had that role if he didn’t have something tricky up his sleeve, in this case, a sleeping drops that make you sleep for a whole year, you can only awake if Tom would use a special gas on you. Even though originally these sleeping drops were made for mice, Tom did say that he would make the same but for any other living being, making these drops pretty much a fair game.

Super Hero

Another role Tom was getting for himself is a superhero role. Tom had lots of times when he put on a superhero costume to stand for justice but perhaps one of his most versatile suits is one demonstrated above which was manually made by him. This suit can do super jumps, shoot nuts from its fingers to make the opponent slip or shoot mini mace from the same fingers, shoot rockets from its wrist, as well as pull out a mallet and boxing glove from the same wrist.

Indiana Tom

But aside from all that, Tom also was a treasure hunter, unknown to the public but known to himself as “Indiana Tom”. While on his treasure hunt Tom mostly had a whip and his wits as an equipment. Might seem small, but it was all that he needed to get his hand to the treasure which the entire world tried to hunt. Not bad for a single issue eh?

Emperor

Tom at one point of his life joined the Tales of Mythology along with other people like Sun Wukong, where he became Yang Jian- the first Sui emperor. During this point he not only learned how to rule a Kingdom, but became quite skilled in using Spears as well. He’s unlocked some pretty nifty abilities, like a secret Third Eye that can bind opponents- making them helpless (or just create light), he even learned how to ride Magic Clouds, just like Wukong. Tom was considered one of the STRONGEST beings in all of Mythology.

Intergalactic Fugitive

Tom was once known as the most Evil cat in the universe and was a wanted Intergalactic leader.

Archer

Tom has a surprisingly deep history with archery, not only has he improvised using a Bow with a harp, but he’s lived in Mid-England times during the era of Robin-Hood where he’s utilized a crossbow with extreme precision (the boxart even shows him capable of using a normal bow and arrow). One of the other times in the comics, Tom is shown to have a perfect aim at shooting at moving objects and even after his gun was sabotaged and he left only a bow to use, he still managed to perfectly land all his shots.

Martial Arts

Tom surprisingly has a very good understanding of Martial Arts. After opening his mind to a video lesson, he gained extraordinary skills. He chooses to use Kung Fu utilizing a numerous amount of chopping, palm, and leg techniques. It allows him to use pressure point combat that can even effect toon force characters, knocking down people who would have beaten him before instantly. It also gives him the ability to disable limbs and transmute others. Not only that, his mastery of fighting can be so good, he straight up can paralyze you by a single glare. He's even a Black Belt in Judo, he got his OWN degree, which usually takes years of practice! (Yet he achieved this in JUST mere minutes of joining). Additionally Tom also has plenty of experience in Boxing (he’s even gotten a Title before) and Wrestling having multiple showings of him being capable in these martial arts.

Basketball Player

 HE’S BALLING

Equipment

Claws

Given Tom’s a cat it was only natural that he’d use his claws to fight, they’re sharp and great at tearing through enemies. Though they have a lot of different capabilities they can pick locks for one, but they can also morph into a bunch of different items of choice.

Binoculars

Tom has Binoculars to enhance his already amazing vision, giving him a way to zoom in on targets far away.

Snow Sled

Tom is actually pretty well prepared when it comes to cold weather, he has his own sled for traversing icy terrain.

Giant Slingshot

Tom sorta just pulled this out of nowhere, but he can use it to fire giant Snowballs or even people.

Trash Armor

Yeah uh, one of the other ways Tom decided to protect himself from some kind of piercing damage is straight up use a trash can as an armor. Not a solid option but certainly a neat one.

Catapult

Tom can catapult giant balls of Snow at enemies, this tends to make it harder to move around for anyone caught inside of it.

Mace

Tom is very well versed when it comes to weapons, but one of his most trusty happens to be Maces, though then again- I do suppose swinging around spiked blunt force weapons would work good against armored foes.

Sword

Tom’s second most used weapon would definitely have to be Swords, it can cut and slice through most things Tom encounters.

Laser Gun

Pretty straight forward, this dude was a demon as a kid, he has laser guns he loved to fire at civilians… (ouch)

Tennis Racket

Tom’s trusty Tennis Racket is great for smacking around enemies, though its most impressive feature is the ability to reflect projectiles back at the target… even Magic based ones.

Mallet

Tom has a trusty mallet that he’s capable of swinging in close succession, making it a nice blunt weapon in combat.

Trash Lids

Tom just so happens to carry around a pair of Trash lids that he can use to flatten enemies and create shockwaves from the sheer sound vibrations.

Slingshot

Tom carries around a Slingshot for long ranged combat and for some reason; he thought it was a good idea to use Tennis balls as ammunition.

Fishing Rod

Tom has a Fishing Rod that can launch enemies at high speeds or ensnare them in classic Cartoon fashion.

Firework Rocket

Tom SOMEHOW can summon Rockets out of THIN air that will auto lock onto opponents just by kicking…

Toy Goggles

Tom just so happens to live in a reputable Toy Store, where he snatched a pair of Goggles. These Goggles can not only zoom in, but they can see in complete darkness, and track people through walls with Infrared technology.

Snowball Launcher

Tom sure does love Snowballs… that’s why he has a Snowball Launcher that can fire continuously as long as he has snow around.

Jetpack Suit

Tom has a jetpack suit that he can use to fly around, though this seems a bit irrelevant given he can straight up fly without it (it does look cool though)

Motorcycle

Tom has plenty of motorcycles, this one made him look pretty rad though… like man has the Waluigi and Mario-Cycles, that’s pretty peak.

Genie Lamp

This is your typical Genie Lamp, it holds a magic wish granting Genie that obeys your every order and command. On top of that, it can turn OTHERS (including Tom) into Genies and bind them to the lamp, giving you the capability to seal them inside.

Wingsuit

Another time, during one of his fights with Jerry out of some clothes Tom was able to make himself a Wingsuit, capable of gliding and flying while wearing it as if he was a bird. Obviously its downside is that whenever wings are being damaged Tom won’t be able to fly using it.

Witches broom

One of the first magical equipment Tom ever received during his long run was Witch’s Broom. Just like you expect, from your good ol average broom of the witch, it’s mainly flies. But aside from that, it pretty much has its own sentience and willing to help Tom if needed. Tom pretty quickly understood and mastered the flight of the broom, so he got along with it really well. Additionally in the 2014 show, broom got the Overdrive Mode which allows it to fly at higher speeds leaving fire trails behind.

Magic Book

This book is full of Magical Spells though from what we know, it can also summon Cerberus from Hell. It even contains a Spell that’s capable of bringing back his lost Souls as allies to help him in combat; they can interact physically with the world, phase through objects, instill fear to a point where people lose color, and will pretty much do whatever Tom wants… they’re even capable of forming their own strategies.

Vampire hunting equipment

Tom has an assortment of Vampire Killing Gear, it’s not really explained why… I guess he just really doesn’t want to get jumped by vampires.

Ghost trapping equipment

If Tom ever wants to star in his own game involving a Haunted Mansion has the exact vacuum for the Job, a vacuum cleaner that can seal away ghosts and spirits.

Vanishing Cream

A cream that can make Tom invisible. Yeah pretty straightforward you guys probably already know its deal based on this pic.

Jet Shoes

Tom has a pair of Jet Shoes that allows him to propel through the air to the same extent as basic flight, blud was really Jimmy Neutron as a kid.

Plane Catapult

It's a plane..and a catapult..Funniest shit I've seen

Megaphone

Pretty usual megaphone, which Tom can use if he needs to shake the opponent's head out of loud sound.

Scuba Gear

When the environment is Water themed in nature, Tom has Scuba gear to chase his enemies to great depths! It even comes with a harpoon, which is almost certainly not safe to use on a heavily populated beach.

Cannon

Should be pretty straightforward. Tom has a large cannon that shoots cannonballs. Works pretty much like how you’d expect a cannon to work.

Artillery

Pretty much what the name says. Tom has access to a literal large caliber explosive artillery cannon.

Big Laser Cannon

As shown above Tom has a huge Laser cannon capable of cutting basically anything it aims at. From walls to make the mouse's hole bigger to a safe, as demonstrated above.

Big Harpoon

A big harpoon which does what you’d expect a harpoon to do, as shown above. Strong and pierce.

Whip

Tom seems to be pretty proficient with a whip. Nothing too much to add here.

Revolver

Who the hell gave this CAT A GUN!?!? The bullets RICOCHET, he’s a DANGER to society!

AK-47

Well not exactly…it’s rather a pea shooting toy gun with a design very similar to the Kalashnikov rifles. That being said this gun has a pretty simple purpose as all other guns or cannons, it causes powerful shots of peas at high speeds, so powerful in fact that recoil of it sends Tom straight up flying.

Hailstone Gun

By collecting a bunch of hailstone to his freezer, he practically has Hailstone ammunition for his gun, whenever he’ll need one.

Shotgun

Should be pretty straightforward as well. Tom has on his hands a double barrel shotgun. Just like shotguns it’s more effective at closer ranges, but this one is also pretty powerful enough to destroy homes, while flying tens meters away, quite a lot more impressive don’t ya think?

Lightsaber

Tom also is shown to use a lightsaber in the coverbook of one of the comic books. We don’t know if it's an exact lightsaber copy but maybe some toy but given space aesthetics it probably is similar to the Star Wars lightsaber.

Alligator Egg

Gator Summon, Gator Summon, Gator Summon. He can summon a Gator. - Oleggator

Fightin’ Fluid

Pretty simple one: Person who consumes said fluid would want to fight. Sounds a bit useless at first but the one who consumes it doesn’t really think straight and seemingly would want to fight directly without coming up with any sort of strategy.

Pally Potion

Pretty much the opposite of aforementioned fluid, this potion instead of making you want to fight, pacifies you and makes you want to be friends with everyone nearby, no matter how dangerous or threatening foe was/is.

Shooting Ship

A space cruiser that shoots from a minigun turret (Goddamn Tom)

Fist Ship

A giant ship that has a giant fist in the front of it, capable of fisting anyone that comes near (What.)

Vacuum cleaner

Has a high tech Vacuum cleaner that is capable of cleaning rooms and areas in an instant, better than a Roomba.

Super-Bubble-Gum

This Gum is sort of like Trick Gum, whoever chews on this Gum will spontaneously start to expel air from the users body forcing them to BLOW and BLOW a bigger and bigger bubble as they’re carried off indefinitely and HELPLESSLY into the sky until they hit an object, in this case they’d be trapped glued to whatever they hit.

Laser Mouse Trap

This is no ordinary mouse trap, instead of trapping the mouse with a metal bar, it shoots a laser that completely vaporizes its victim.

Pet dinosaurs

Once a triceratops imprinted on him, it was capable of listening to anything Tom said without a question, and these dinos age rapidly, at the end of the episode multiple dinosaurs imprinted on Tom and Jerry.

Super Suit

The Suit mostly serves as a way to make Tom stronger than he already was, not only does he get a big strength boost; but he also gains the ability to blow strong gusts of wind. He has a bigger suit, that’s even bigger and stronger, it can even rev up for more speed with an attack similar to a Spindash from Sonic the Hedgehog. Lastly he has an EVEN bigger suit which is stronger and has retractable / extendable hands; the one glaring flaw these suits have are that they are susceptible to short circuiting via liquid contact.

Trap-o-Matic

The Trap-O-Matic is a set of schematics that allows Tom to create traps on his environment in ‘seemingly’ frozen time before it all becomes real in an instant. It can summon Canons, Power Drills, Tea Sets, Extendable Boxing Gloves, Turtles that EXPLODE when they walk into something, Water Spray Cans, Apples, Sailboats, Fans, Slingshots, Anvils, Televisions, Whoopee Cushions, Firework Crackers, Skateboards, Magnets, Firework Powered Boards, Fire Extinguisher, Telephones, Hammers, Hamsters, Toy Trains, Bowling Balls, Rolling Pins, Toy Helicopters, Toasters, Saws, Jack in the Boxes, and Miniature Skate Rails. The schematic allows Tom to place OVER 100 different objects at once on field and just have them magically appear… meaning he could send an army of over 100 exploding turtles at someone. (or create some elaborate trap setups in the blink of an eye!)

Banana Boots

These MYSTICAL boots make him immune to one of the most DEVASTATING items in Cartoon History… the FABLED Banana peel…

Ski Ball

Tom is capable of throwing Ski Balls that defy gravity and fly through the air.

Water Balloons

He can throw Water Balloons that stun enemies.

Poison Potion

What more is there to say? It’s poison☠️

Knock-out Drops

These drops can completely incapacitate anyone who takes them, even loud sounds won’t be enough to wake them up from their slumber.

Gas Pump

Tom has a Poisonous Gas pump that he can spray onto unsuspecting opponents. Tom’s even used it to KILL inanimate objects, a feat which should be completely impossible.

Sledgehammer

An average sledgehammer…I mean yeah, what else you’d expect?

Bombs

Pretty straightforward, Tom has access to various bombs that explode and do massive area damage.

Magnet

Also pretty straightforward, Tom consistently had an access to magnets which just like you’d expect Magnet to do, attracts metallic objects, varying from small bolts up to robots and other big sized metallic objects.

Garlic

If it comes into contact with a vampire it will turn to nothing but smoke.

Magnifying Glass

This Glass can fire powerful laser beams that vaporize anything in its path.

Matching Stones

Whenever beneficial Tom themed Stones are matched, Tom gets a massive boost in speed.

Volleyball Launcher

Tom has a volleyball launcher that can destroy debris and fire up to three different balls at once.

The Tommy Gun

Launches Tom through the air at high speeds towards opponents.

The Flamethrower

Causes Tom to run WAY faster than usual, amplifying his speed.

The Bellows

Lets Tom float through the air and prolong falls.

The Electro-Stun

Shocks enemies so that you can sneak by with ease. (Though you can also just use it as a electric weapon lol)

The Smokescreen

Makes you completely Invisible to enemies once used.

Hook & Horn

Tom has a rather long hook that can travel up to 10 meters, in unison with a VERY loud horn, he can eject someone's Soul(s) from their body. (This is very consistent with how he’s SCARED Jerry's soul out of his body before)

Robot Mouse

Using it to seduce Jerry, he created a robot mouse strong enough to crash through walls, stretch its limbs, and was capable of overpowering Tom.

Robot Cat

During his space adventures Tom had his own Robot Cat (likely built by Tom himself) that was helping him against Jerry. This Robot has its own artificial intelligence, various weapons and even the capability of stretching itself.

Frankenstein

Basically “Robot Frankenstein” made by Tom that was brought to life through electricity. It may seem a bit stiff but it’s big, tall, strong and is certainly capable of catching up with Jerry and Tuffy, while following Tom’s commands and understanding him by a simple voice.

Tobor

A robot made by Tom himself which obeys Tom through the remote controller. It has its own hammer and is powerful enough to straight up bust through walls by itself.

The Suck Up

One of Tom's owners was pretty much tired from Tom’s hair being around his home, so he decided to get himself own robot vacuum cleaner - The Suck Up. It may look like a simple robot-vacuum cleaner, but with its multiple functionalities it’s pretty much like house artificial intelligence, since it can: Sweep your floor, clean your toilet, wax your table, print your faxes, do your taxes, disintegrate objects into nothingness, has its own hands with full functionality, window cleaning system, or when system fails and it goes absolutely berserk, it can take all sharp objects in hand and use them for mass destruction. Additionally there’s The Suck Up 2.0 which does everything previous Suck Up can but additionally performs various functions to clean your lawn (and most importantly bake you some cakes). Tom had access to it through its remote controller and actually pretty quickly got along with it at first, the only reason it went berserk in the first place was because of Jerry’s shenanigans.

Magic Crystal Ball

Can show him where anyone is at that moment, like when it showed him where Jerry was so Tom can catch him.

Acme Safe

An Acme branded safe is not only good in keeping your valuables safe, it can also trap Ghosts.

Black Cat Spell

This one is pretty straight forward, Tom can transform into a Black Cat and inflict Bad Luck onto ANYONE he walks past.

Magic Mirror

This mirror is pretty nifty all things considered, it gives the user the ability to gauge their future ‘fate’, giving them a chance at seeing their future outcome and giving them the potential to change it if need be. (Albeit Tom could end up making his future worse by trying to change it, but being able to know what’s coming with precognition is super helpful)

Venus FlyTrap Seeds

Seeds that grow Venus FlyTraps. While original Venus FlyTraps attract and trap their enemies leaving them to die for days, these ones are more like Chomper from PvZ or Piranha Plant from Mario Bros, aka big plants with sharp teeth eating and swallowing you alive.

Witches Wand

This wand allows Tom to give objects sentience, giving him the capability to create his own army! It also gives him the ability to utilize telekinesis and take AWAY the sentience of whatever its magic hits. It can even manipulate your physiology by swapping parts of your body with something else and can be used to make things ‘vanish’. (Given Tom was trying to stop Jerry by getting him out of the picture and a majority of synonyms for Vanish are to destroy, it’s very likely physical erasure, like how he made a candle vanish). The wand also is capable of completely paralyzing person and sending person to any other place, it can fly, transmute and even create and delete living forms while changing their shape and capabilities to own liking, as well as create objects out of thin air, duplicate living forms, changing gender (that’s right, straight up changing gender from male to female), manipulating size of objects, create thunderclouds (which also can cause floods), erupting earth to summon fire from under while also giving sentience to said fire, create “Shrivel Blast'' which is a homing attack spell. Wand also is capable of nullifying magic attacks, and creating “Flying Daggers” Spell which summons Butterflies tricking opponents into thinking that spell is harmless unless its true form of literal flying daggers start, well, flying at you. Wand also can reflect attacks/spells back at the opponent, control minds causing opponent to change attitude, and at last shown but not least can change your physiology from air breathing to water breathing, as in making you able to breathe underwater but at the cost of making you unable to breathe in the air. Yeah uh, this wand is pretty powerful alright.

Ogre’s Tooth

A tooth of an Ogre, a powerful magical artifact that gives you more physical and magical strength. Just by holding it in his hands, Tom can already become more muscular and is capable of using telekinesis with just a flinch of his fingers. Tom can also do powerful destructive beams which however can be reflected back through the mirror. There are 2 downsides, first being that Tom changes back to normal if he’ll lose tooth from his hands (which he can also solve by just eating Tooth becoming even more buff and powerful), and second downside being that during usage of said tooth ogre (or its very powerful Tooth Fairy) can come to take tooth back, though it takes a while before that (about 4-5 minutes, possibly more).

Super Hypnotic Reel

A Hypnotic Reel that hypnotizes you automatically, and is so effective that it can even influence you to change your own physiology.

Magic Wand

Magic Wand that can transmute people into anything he imagines like animals and creatures.

Wizard’s Wand

When he became a Wizard's apprentice he stole a wand that has multiple uses, like Nulling Magic, Duplication, Teleportation, Can bring inanimate objects to life, Can summon anything into reality, Transmutation, Planet Wide BFR, Can Turn off invisibility or potion effects, Time Reversal, possibly even Existence Erasure! It can even work when multiple pieces are fractured.

Magic Hat

One of the other items Tom temporarily got access to is a Magic Hat. By itself it may look like an ordinary magician hat but in reality it has a magic power to summon anything to come out from its hole. Whether it be an alive animal such as rabbit, dog, duck and lion (see above) or an actual inanimate object like cheese, water, tree, smoke. Tom himself temporarily got access to the hat and used it on Jerry.

Magic Box

A box which also seems ordinary at first but has a neat trick in itself. That being capable of transporting a person to another place. Specifically Spice Islands.

Ghost Ancestors

Tom also has a long line of ancestors. We don’t know much about his family, but some members of it did come to help Tom from making bad decisions, in an unintentional way. These ghosts are practically invisible as no cat or mouse can see them and aside from that they can do telekinesis/possession to an extent.

Ghost Friend

Not necessarily an arsenal but rather one of his support options. Tom and Jerry during one of their medieval magic era adventures have visited a shop of magical items. In it, they’ve met one particular person in it, that being well, a ghost. The ghost was practically ready to do anything and was suggesting to get himself for free (practically he was lonely in the shop, so he wanted some company)! In the end, T&J did get ownership of him so it's fair to assume either of them can have some sort of access to him. This ghost can do a solid amount of stuff: teleporting himself and objects, creating objects out of nowhere, he can even repair objects that have been destroyed like Tom’s blanket.

Computer

A Computer Tom created out of Junk, and if activated by enough electricity it can trap the person near the computer inside it, and only large amounts of electricity can let people escape.

Computer x 2

Another kind of computer Tom had twice in the series is a computer that helps him detect placement of his opponent. With the help of this computer, Tom can always see where someone is heading to and either send here his own minions or himself when prepared.

Radar

Another invention Tom got on his hand, straight from James Bond-like evil lair, is a radar. Which is capable of noticing people getting closer to you while being kilometers away. Enough for Tom to prepare some traps.

Trap Room

During the above-mentioned spy adventure, Tom’s room also was filled with various traps (likely built by him), including multiple cannons, mines, turrets with guns, all sorts of ways to shoot you down even if you do a single step in this room.

Electric Eye Pest Zapper

Pretty much one of Tom’s traps where he covers room with multiple lasers, said lasers supposedly doing high damage to you, sending you flying back hundreds of meters away

Invisibility Machine

A machine that quite literally makes you fully invisible to the naked eye. Obviously like usual invisibility it can be countered if Tom is covered in something else making him more visible. Tom even seems to carry around a Laser Rifle when he goes on an invisible expedition.

Duplication Machine

Machine in question is pretty simple, it analyzes Tom with its ray from above, and creates a new clone for Tom. It doesn’t seem to have a limit as it created even more clones of Tom later on.

Ultra Zapper

A zapper that's not only capable of Speeding you up to insane speeds, it can slow you down immensely to where you and your equipment are stuck in slow-mo. When Jerry was affected by the Fast setting of the Ultra Zapper not only could he blitz Tom, but he was able to STEAL Tom’s ideas before he could even have them, thus erasing those thoughts from his mind.

Super Intelligence Helmet

This helmet grants the wearer the ability to transfer ALL of Earth’s knowledge into them, making them an insanely smart super genius. Tom moments after its use was capable of solving difficult equations, was a skilled master at chess, and could build tech out of random objects in mere seconds. He made a jet pack and a toy plane that can fire dozens of lasers at enemies in the short time he had it alone. The helmet itself seems to have an immunity to Magnetism and it gives Tom the intelligence to hack enemy tech manually.

Flight Drink

One of the other methods for Tom to fly is a flight drink. The moment Tom drinks it he gains the ability to fly simply through flapping his arms, as shown above. He can maneuver around and fly fast as if he himself is the plane making him quick in the air.

Fizzy Lifting Drinks

The ending of the Willy Wonka crossover suggests that Tom ended up staying with Charlie who now owned the factory. Throughout the special he used Fizzy-Lifting Drinks around three separate times in order to fly around and avoid danger… given he should have easy access to them it’s safe to say they’re standard.

Wonka Vision Remote

This is the same deal as the Fizzy Lifting Drinks where it should be standard as he’s used it and has easy access to it. This remote can scatter someone into millions of particles that can be teleported around, manipulated, or just left to float around. The particle effects can cause people and objects to: teleport, shrink, grow, swap body parts, scatter you into EM particles, and create duplicate limbs.

Magic Ring

During Tom’s time living with a Wizard he managed to snatch a Magical Ring capable of several different abilities. It can bring inanimate objects to life, shrink people and objects and enlarge them, teleport things away and warp objects to the user, summon anything the user wants from out of thin-air with seemingly no weight limit, give the ability to fly given it causes this peel to fly away, transmute people into whatever the user chooses, liquidize people, seemingly swap bodies (15:08 is them seemingly changing; 21:40 is them changing back), and finally the ring can stop time for individuals.

Power Rings

Multiple Superhero Power rings, each give you a different hero ability such as; Elasticity,Fire Powers, Ice Powers,Super Strength/Invincibility and Large Size.

Loch Ness Monster

Where does he keep finding these folklore creatures… anyways they’re basically just a beefy bodyguard who upscales Tom, nothing special.

Blob Alien

Essentially Tom can merge with an alien blob creature capable of consuming and absorbing anything it can wrap its lips around due to its gelatinous shape (which also seems to be way harder to damage than Tom’s normal base). It seems to be since the Alien was the first thing Tom absorbed, Tom managed to take control over the Alien’s body but maintained its hungry urges, the blob eats in order to grow bigger and bigger, the more mass it eats the bigger it gets, anyone inside becomes incapable of moving or completely absorbed depending on the situation (hence why Tom or the Building isn’t shown inside the blob later). To make things easier it’s capable of sucking up things like Kirby and can create slime tendrils to grab or absorb enemies from far away. Tom once the Blob is depleted can also just sorta go his merry way by unzipping the Blob like a suit, which has… VERY questionable implications.

Brain Car

Essentially this is just a Car that Tom can pilot with his mind, it functions by absorbing the energy his brain waves give off such as emotion (thus it’ll do whatever Tom wants).

Undead Crown

Tom has a crown that he can dawn that gives him the power to control ALL Cat like undead, commanding them as a big powerful army.

Liquid Locks

This formula can help generate a SENTIENT mustache on your body that is strong enough to toss around Cars and utterly overwhelm people who used to be on Tom’s strength level (it can also play the Violin for some reason).

Experimental Growth Milk

This Milk can cause Tom to grow taller than an entire Castle, making him way stronger, and giving him the ability to shoot fireballs from his mouth.

Tom & Jerry Content

There doesn’t seem to really be any reasonable explanation, it’s just that Tom and Jerry’s comics, moves, shows, etc… are SO funny that people will be unable to pull themself away, this has happened MULTIPLE times throughout the series and is blatant in the House Trap video game where Tom and Jerry are physically INCAPABLE of moving at all once their show comes on, almost as if controlling their mind, though clearly more subtly.

Ghost Hunting Equipment

Tom is a pretty competent Ghost Hunter, his gear comes with a tele-communication and Radar set that lets him hear and locate Ghosts, as well as Night vision goggles that do the same. It has a vacuum cleaner that can lock ghosts inside a box.

Experimental Super Cookies

After Tom consumes some ‘Super Cookies’ he’ll turn into Super Cat, an insanely enhanced form of Tom that can do things his base capabilities have no chance of. (so duh he’s super strong) He can fire lasers from his eyes, breathe frosty ice breath that freezes things in his path, and can seemingly teleport. The only downside is that the powers only last around 2 minutes before he reverts back to normal.

Recalled Say Cheez

This recalled Cheese Spray Sauce essentially uh… yeah it’ll make you trip balls (just take the entire episode you need to see this). Tom was incapacitated and imagining a COMPLETELY different alternate reality within his mind, where he was getting his ass beat constantly. Meaning if anyone else got fed this, they’d have the worst drug experience of their life via… CHEESE SAUCE… (Tom why do you have this)

Magic Hat

Tom has a BUNCH of these Magical Hats that allow you to summon and create snow (as shown above), they can give sentience to Snowmen giving him the ability to make his own army of varying sizes, and if he wears it himself he gains the ability to manipulate Dates to forward time entirely.

Magic Painting

It may seem like a regular painting. But it hides a unique ability upon itself. You see a ghost painter who originally drew this painting, inflicted curse on it and whenever Tom gets hit, all damage is being transferred to “Tom” in the picture. No matter how painful or how destructive an attack is, Tom's body always would stay the same as it was in the picture while the body in the painting would receive said changes/damages. At the end of the episode, ghost did repaint the picture back to the blank removing effects, but practically as long as Tom has money on his hand, he shouldn’t really have too much trouble with doing similar painting again at some point (no really, that’s practically the only reason ghost held a grudge on him, remember to have your money in hand before asking for arts!!!).

Crinkly Ball

This ball has the innate power to force ANYONE who is in prolonged contact with it to become UTTERLY obsessed, making them devote EVERY waking moment of their time to playing with it as opposed to anything else.

Disguised Mousetraps

A Mouse trap that is disguised by hay, making it seem like just a card for a HayRide while actually is a mousetrap ready to hit.

King-Sized Rattrap

A mousetrap that is pretty much human-sized. Whoever may fall into this trap will have to feel a lot of pain from it.

Elephant

An Elephant. Just straight up, an Elephant. It’s big, heavy, strong, all wonders you know of about the Elephant. And Tom is pretty much shown to be capable of riding it.

Rebuff Spray

A spray made to specifically counter dogs and all its kinds, Bulldog, Wolf, Coyote, you name it. The layer is so intoxicating that anyone trying to attack Tom will be PHYSICALLY incapable of getting near him, the spray acting like a 'smell barrier' they won't dare to go past; if any dog approaches Tom while using this spray they will be straight up stunned or even killed. The only way to deal with this spray is to not smell and hold down the air to yourself while approaching.

Quick Drying Clay

A clay that dries in a matter of seconds allowing you to immobilize your opponent in a short period of time. As shown above, the heat of a lamp is fairly already enough to do the process.

Itch Sneeze Powder

A powder that makes you sneeze. Yup, just like that, no further explanation needed.

Cat Food

It may seem like an average Cat Food at first, but it has one special effect. It’s so good that no matter who eats it even forcefully, becomes happy and contented, doing “purrrrr” sounds and not anything else, while ignoring what's happening around.

Custard Pie Trap

Pretty straightforward, Tom makes a present using spring and custard pie, boom. Custard Pie trap ready to go.

Mexican Jumping Beans

Another consumable Tom shown to use are Mexican jumping beans, beans that upon consumption…well, make you jump/hop as shown above. Pretty useful if in need to keep up with an opponent in similar rhythm of movement.

Durian

It seems like an ordinary Durian Tom likes to eat from time to time, but despite how tasty it is for Tom, its smell is potent enough to make pictures feel it and inanimate objects break.

Magnetic Sword

One of Tom's inventions during the Mousketeers era was a magnetic sword. Name should pretty much speak for itself, as Tom swings with his sword a metallic object instantly connects to his sword like a magnet, allowing Tom to easily disarm you if you’re having anything made out of metal on hand.

Horse and Lance

A horse and lance. Well not much to speak about here but Tom showed to be pretty good in skill with either.

Long Rapier

Another kind of sword Tom had was an insanely long rapier, pretty much as tall as an average person, long enough to practically attack without giving any opportunity for a counter attack. Obviously it is also a bit heavier but hey, Tom is a strong champ, he held heavier stuff.

Spring Tonic

One more tonic Tom had during the Mouseketeer era, a Spring Tonic that gives him more energy and massively increases his speed, straight up to the point that Tom can blitz his opponents and even create afterimages of himself.

Go-Cheezooz Creamy Cheese Spread

No more elaboration needed. It comes in four different flavors: tomato salsa, chocolate, bean and cheese, and plain.

Star Condiments

Tom also has his own brand of condiments. πŸ™‚

Multi Cheerios

At the very least, Cheerios are implied to give the user an increased boost in strength and energy.

Milk Shakti

This one Tom actually made himself and then got sold to Millions around the world, quite an accomplished chef.

Addis

Tom picked up a few Addis branded equipment to use around the house: though the most important were a retractable mop and mouse-proof lock.

Lawn Mower

Pretty much like an average Lawn Mower that mercilessly cuts grass it passes through, as well as anyone who’d decide to walk into it.

Recoil Weights

Considering the massive recoil from his “AK-47” Tom made a large recoil weights. It solves the problem of high recoil but it won’t be helpful if you are near Steep Hill.

Virtual Reality Helmet

The Virtual Reality helmet is a reality warping Helmet, it can summon things out of thin-air sure, but most importantly it can completely change the situation you’re in on the spot. If the Virtual Reality Helmet has you flying away indefinitely into space, it’ll also happen in the real world… meaning anyone it’s put on is in for a rough experience with anyone on the outside controlling your fate.

Shrinking and Enlarging Ray

Pretty Self Explanatory πŸ™‚

Shrinking Potion

Tom also got a potion to make himself smaller. I mean hey, evading enemies with it becomes a bit easier.

‘Antidote’ Potion

This potion not only cures Shrinking, but it can grow you larger than the entire Earth itself.

The Loudest rooster in the world

A rooster that can create sonic soundwaves with its screams, and at its highest it was able to shake the entire planet and space.

Flash Camera

A camera with a flash that can leave you stunned for about a minute.

Sausage Rope

Pretty much works like rope, just instead of well, rope we have sausages being used to catch and hold an enemy. Its smell can also distract hungry animals like dogs for instance.

Skates

Tom consistently was shown to do well with Roller Skates, traveling at high speeds while keeping good balance.

Scooter

Mostly like an average Scooter, makes Tom faster in travel movement.

Bicycle

Well, what else is there to say, pretty much like your good ol average sport bicycle. Though Tom additionally has a special claw in case he won’t be fast enough and he is in chase of someone.

Clatter Teeth

Pretty self-explanatory, Tom has removable Clatter Teeth that can bite hard.

Spring Shoes

These shoes are capable of making Tom jump way higher than usual, making it great for getting around vast areas.

Spiked Boots

These Spiked Boots meanwhile allow Tom to basically walk on walls giving him a bit more mobility.

Snoozy Woozy

Another method Tom can make someone fall asleep. A drink he and Jerry made for Spike from Snoozy Woozy Herbal Tea, to make him fall asleep which also makes you unable to feel the pain during the sleep (since originally he didn’t want to experience pain from removing his bad tooth).

Spiral Glasses

Once picked up these Glasses can make Tom completely invisible to enemies.

Golden Crest

Once Tom picks up this Powerup he feels like a Super Hero! Tom becomes way stronger than before, capable of one shotting enemies he previously couldn’t; as well as becoming much harder to harm.

Shield Powerup

Pretty much gives Tom additional defense in a form of invincible forcefield that can’t be broken by characters with the same strength as Tom.

Power Powerup

As the name suggests, it makes Tom far more powerful.

Poison Powerup

Play a game of Hot Potato giving yourself a poison aura that drains your health, though there’s the added benefit of transferring the Aura on contact with others. So yeah, hot potato.

Invisibility Powerup

A power up that makes Tom invisible to the naked eye, should be self-explanatory.

Homemade Plane

When Tom & Jerry had to teach 3 evil kitties a lesson, they’ve got themselves a plan. Using engineering skills and Jerry as bait, Tom used this plane for prolonged flight. He is equipped with 3 Custard Pies and a watermelon as biggest weapon. Once watermelon is free, the space that is left below Tom can take opponents and land them somewhere else if needed.

Drone

Another way to fly around for Tom is using a drone which he can control through his remote controller. Tie himself to a drone as seen above and you can fly up to the skies.

Qingxu Pills

These pills were picked up by Tom and Co. during the Mythology event, they cure infective diseases that can taint your very aura itself. The disease that WOULD have befell them can make you fall unconscious in an instant and affects your mind, yet with the pills they’d be just fine.

Plane

Not much to add, Tom pretty much shown to own a plane and be a pretty capable pilot, being able to fly at high speeds even when being near ground like shown in a picture above.

Car

Tom’s very first constructed car, made entirely out of garbage Tom used it to join the race around the Planet. The car's durability is kind of crazy, it's way faster than most cars, and can take WAY more punishment than them without falling apart. It's capable of towing 3 tourist cars without slowing down and ram through steel like it’s nothing. The Car itself has a plethora of abilities: it can spontaneously grow a wheel under its center to propel it into the air similar to a tricycle, he has an anchor to stop his car on the dime, it comes with a magnet that can attract enemies to him or keep him on their trail, skis and spiked wheels for traversing snowy terrain, a snowball cannon, an underwater submarine mode, retractable wheels that can be used to hit enemies, fish Juice to bait Aquatic life to attack his enemies, an overdrive feature to drive even faster, a laser that can ‘SAW Australia in Half’, bundles of Balloons to make his car float through the air, an air pump to change directions and speed up midair, a harpoon to throw at enemies, and his own personalized ‘nuclear-powered’ Jet-Plane variants that can fly to Hollywood from Boreo in under 5 minutes. The only real problem is that trying to restart the car often causes it to launch backwards, so if Tom is next to any conveniently placed Cliffs… that’d be pretty awkward all things considered.

Magnetic Car

One more car Tom is shown to have is a magnetic car, the name pretty much speaks for itself as it's capable of attracting metallic objects to its large magnet on top.

Chase Items

Drinks

Farsight Drink: Grants an increase in maximum sight capability, being able to see further and allows user to react faster. In the first 10 seconds after drinking, it will reveal the neemis’ locations briefly but they will receive a hint.

Invisibility Drink: Grants the user Invisibility until time runs out, even when interacting with items.

Shield Drink: Upon usage, the drinker will activate a shield around them, blocking two incoming debuff effects.

Energizer Drink: Grants increased damage to the drinker. The cat is able to oneshot enemies who are usually around their level in this state. However, this effect lasts a shorter time than the other drinks, only about 20 seconds.

Transformation Drink: This is the drink that turned Jerry into a buffed version of himself in the Cartoon, in the game Tom can get this drink; in which case, it’ll increase his movement speed, attack range, and damage. It’s such a huge buff that you become completely immune to damage.

Mysterious Drink: Gives one of the 5 effects upon consumption.

Normal Items

Fork: Can be thrown to opponents to reduce their HP and movement speed. Can be stuck on the ground.

Ice Cube: After picking, it will start a countdown, it can be used to Freeze your opponents and reduce their HP, dealing low damage. When it's thrown on the ground, it will create a puddle, where if you walk on it, you will slide. Actions such as moving, jumping, using skills are restricted while sliding. It disappears when a player has walked on it for 5 times. The ice cube's countdown can be canceled by either dropping it or consuming a drink.

Fire Cracker: Pick it up, and click the icon again to activate the firecracker countdown, when it is thrown to the opponents after the countdown, it will blow up, if it is not thrown away in time, you will get blown up instead.

Glasses: Can be thrown to your opponents to reduce their HP and movement, dealing low damage. When it's thrown on the ground, it will shatter, creating shards, people who walk on them will get stunned for a while.

Perfume Bottle:
Can be thrown to create a Direction-reversal effect, you can also be affected if you walk to a scattered perfume as well.

Pepper Shaker: Can be thrown to block your opponents' vision for some time. When it's thrown on the ground, it will create a smoke area, affecting the people who walk to it.

Golf Ball: Can be thrown to reduce their HP and movement speed. It is bouncy, so it will not disappear unlike other props. Players can use it strategically.

Firecracker Cluster: Pick it up, and click the icon again to activate the firecracker countdown, when it is thrown to the opponents after the countdown, it will blow up and have a few firecrackers released, affecting people who are near it.

Tomato: Can be thrown on a player which makes them sticky, causing a slowing debuff.

Special Items

Firecracker Stockpile: Can take out a firecracker, it has a cool down and you can only pick one at a time. The cooldown will increase after each time, starting from 15 seconds.

Fruit Platter: Can repeatedly fire fruits, slowing down the opponents. Can also be used to hit the crack.

Toy Gun: Has 6 shots. Players can fire the bullets to reduce the enemies' speed and HP with considerable damage.

Remote Controller: Can summon a robot mouse / robot cat. It will explode if only an enemy touches it, dealing some damage as well as stun them for a while.

Jack in a Box: Releases a punch when a player gets near after a few seconds. If a player gets hit, they will be stunned for a while.

Bone: This bone summons Tyke, who can stun the opponents and cheer for whoever summoned him. When summoned by the cat, he’ll attack enemy players until incapacitated.

Flour Bag: After opening, it will create a flour smoke area. People who touched it can open doors without sounds, not appearing on the map for a short amount of time.

Pure Carrot (Bugs Carrot): This item can dispel all buffs an enemy is benefitting from.

Electric Fan: If the player attacks it, it will enter an overspeed mode, continuing to blow for a while and then explode, forming a charged wreckage in place. After a period of time, the wreckage's electrified effect will disappear automatically, or disappear after a player has touched it for 5 times.

Cat Only Items

Repair Hammer: Can be used to repair the durability of Cat Gear (preferably the Crack that mice use to escape).

Fly Swatter: Cats can use it to stun mice, which can be captured immediately, can be used up to 2 times.

Mousetrap: Can be picked up and place to set up the mousetrap. When a mouse touched it, they need to struggle to break free.

Gumball Machine: Can spawn two bubbles (One for yourself, one for the crack), which shields some damage. If damaged enough, it will explode (with a chance of stunning any enemy close to the bubble).

ACME (Multiversus)

After being transported into the World of Multiversus, Tom got access to a whole heap of ACME brand technology straight out of Looney Tunes. While obviously he doesn’t have the full loadout from ACME, he did get two things. Tom got the classic ACME Anvil that can squish his opponents into paste and ACME branded Dynamite to blow his opponents sky high.

Car Wheel (Multiversus)

When transported into the World of Multiversus he gained this…. VERY strange Car Wheel. Whenever this item is used it can SUMMON a car from a different franchise, like Batman’s Batmobile, or the Mystery Gang’s Mystery Machine, allowing him quick transport and a vehicle to bulldoze enemies.

Armor Token (Multiversus)

Once this ‘Armor Token’ is used in combat, the user will gain ARMOR for a short period of time that protects them from damage.

Health Kits (Multiversus)

This one is pretty straight forward, there’s three different variants of healing- a Bottle, a Small Crate, and a Big Crate which all heal you from damage.

Proximity Mine (Multiversus)

Proximity Mines are essentially automated explosive mines, whenever someone gets too close to them they’ll let loose an explosion.

Snowman Head (Multiversus)

The Snowman Head is a very versatile offensive tool, it will instantly freeze solid whatever it is thrown at.

TV (Multiversus)

The television can summon different Assistants from other Universes to assist you in combat. As of now it’s currently being updated and given new assists, but currently can summon Banana Guard’s from Adventure Time who will spear opponents in their path; as well as N.E.P.T.R. who will throw pies at opponents. (N.E.P.T.R. rep is appreciated)

Meeseeks Box (Multiversus)

This is another item found in Multiversus, a Meeseeks Box. This box summons a blue humanoid figure whose ENTIRE life's purpose is to listen to you, they will NOT stop until they complete their objective. Theoretically you can spawn INFINITE Meeseeks, though by Multiversus logic you can only summon up to 3 at a time.

Shaggy’s Sandwich (Multiversus)

This sandwich can be thrown at enemies to damage them, though it can also be used to heal yourself as well as allies it passes through while thrown.

Abilities

Genius Intelligence & Tricking

Despite Tom having an eternal rodent problem in the house, he’s way smarter and more cunning than he looks. As you may have noticed throughout history of Tom & Jerry Tom had basically tons of jobs, and as far as some depictions go he existed as long as the stone age if not time itself. Even as a kid he already knew rocket science and as he became older, the more complex traps he created. But aside from his technological intelligence and many many years of various experience, Tom is also a quite cunning person, capable of tricking even his enemies into doing what he wants them to do, often using reverse psychology while taking a lot of time for his opponent to realize. For instance, against Spike when Tom played an act of giving up while slowly turning the tables around getting Jerry for himself instead, another great example can be in one of his Dell Comics issues when Tom was gaslighting Jerry & Tuffy into thinking Tom directly told them correct code numbers or when 2 cats were trying to scam and gaslight Tom into buying a worse house, and Tom did that but only to sell the house later to get a huge amount of money. You can practically already tell Tom is both Book Smart and Money Smart, might as well be a Street Smart, since very often some of the plans he comes up to do he creates in a matter of a few seconds often improvising with whatever gets into his hands even at time when Jerry tries to abuse some higher forces (like Spike or high privilege or any other potential threat). Even more as his musician and martial arts skills show, he can learn to perform complex stuff in just a matter of minutes at worst. So don’t let the looks of the cat deceive you, he knows far more than you, thinks faster than you and acts 3 steps ahead of you.

Trap Mastery

Tom always has high levels of engineering skills, and if creating high level technology out of random materials isn't proof, then his trap skills certainly are. Tom consistently has shown to be precise in details of his traps, even the smallest parts of his complicated traps precisely go as needed. Obviously there are a few moments of Tom failing in the precision of his trap, but the reasoning behind that isn’t his fault at all, but rather Jerry’s for messing with the measurements in a blueprint or some measurement items.

Ability of Disguise

Tom has used and created multiple disguises to trick Jerry or others that annoy him, he even creates disguises for other people that are usually convincing in a pretty consistent manner whether he needs to hide or escape. For instance, one time he disguised himself among dogs by simply wearing a mask or hiding his cat head by shoving it inside himself. Or the other time Tom took a role as a female eagle, to distract a predatory eagle from eating Jerry, which ultimately worked. The guy fell in love with a “woman” and wanted to marry Tom. Or another time when Tom used hay and a blanket to pretend to be a princess which ultimately also convinced the King that he has a 8-th princess. One time Tom even managed to make a disguise out of candy floss.

Body Morphing

Tom's main and most consistent ability is how his body can morph, he can morph parts of his body into inanimate objects, force his body into different shapes and forms, and can also have his body shredded or cracked into pieces. He’s shown he can even turn his head into a cannon.

Certified Chicken

Yeah he can... lay eggs. Top tier ability tbh

Enhanced Vision

Tom’s even capable of seeing Invisible creatures and enemies without the aid of equipment.

Non Physical Interaction

This one is pretty straightforward… Tom can lasso a Storm Cloud, grab the literal manifestations of his own ideas (as seen above), and can interact with his own soul (which he apparently has 9 of), he’s also literally killed and hurt other souls before in the games.

Regeneration

Thanks to his Toon Force, Tom has great regenerative abilities to help him pull himself back together. He can have his head decapitated, body parts split apart into pieces, be blown to bits, have his head caved in, or get burned to ash (without eyeballs) and he’ll come back like nothing happened. In the Spy Quest movie, parts of his body were completely destroyed (aka no dust) JUST his eyeballs and he could still regenerate seconds later, in the newer cartoons he could regenerate from being blown into nothingness via a Firework explosion. When his body went POOF into nothing he came back, (Tom and Jerry poof into nothingness and come back consistently) EVEN when his entire physical body was destroyed, he regenerated in the form of an entire Constellation and kept on going. In the games, Tom’s body can be completely obliterated to the point where ONLY his spirit remains, and he’ll come back like nothing happened. Tom’s Spirit has been blown apart, LITERALLY disintegrated, and other Spirits just like him can get Liquidized into NOTHINGNESS- yet he’s shown to STILL be fine while in hell. Tom and Jerry very consistently show the ability to regenerate from nothing, but if that isn’t enough Jerry whom is relative in Toon Force to Tom has shown that he can regenerate a COMPLETELY separate body to come back from… this isn’t inconsistent as the same has happened to Tom. (It’s important to note, that WHILE it’s a game over, it’s because he had no real way to come back with his current kit, he was stuck in Hell… though it does show the extent of his spiritual regen) Lastly, if it REALLY comes down to it, the very AUDIENCE themself can draw Tom and bring him back even if he’s currently not yet existing. (Aka there’s this drawing game where you can draw Tom into existence if he wasn’t there already)

Liquidation

Perhaps what cats are most known for is having a liquid-like physiology, making them able to go anywhere. Tom is no big exception here as he can turn himself into Liquid and travel through areas in liquid form.

Waves

Tom also can just, straight up stand on a surfboard and summon waves, seemingly out of nowhere.

Immersion

Tom can hop on and interact with 2D pictures like drawings, paintings, and stone art. This is consistent with how Tom and Jerry can both immerse themselves into design art. (which is consistent) Tom was even able to enter a Movie as it was being played on a Movie Screen.

Stretching / Elasticity

Tom’s body also is capable of stretching itself in all ways possible, a bit similar to his body morphing; he can stretch himself in all possible ways if he needs to.

Pain Tolerance

Throughout T&J history Tom endured a lot of painful moments, and practically kept going even after going through some large amount of pain. But perhaps his best performance in pain tolerance is at his job as a butler, when one of his main qualities was a solid composure. As in, being able to quite literally ignore everything that may be thrown at you focusing on one main job.

Teleportation

Tom sort of just has the ability to show up in different places, which is completely unexplained. The most logical thing would be teleportation, as he’s usually stunned or in a completely different area when it does occur, or he does something illogical to get there.

Loud Sound

Tom generally is practically iconic for doing loud screams, but as the image above shows Tom’s voice is a lot more dangerous than you might think. Tom is such a good singer that he can straight up break glass with his voice. To break glass a person or object must produce sound at 100-105 decibels. For reference, vacuum cleaner produces only 80 db, the sound of a motorcycle is 95 db while 105 db by itself is the maximum volume level for personal listening devices; a very loud radio, stereo, or television; and loud entertainment venues (such as nightclubs, bars, and rock concerts). With sound this loud hearing loss is possible in less than 5 minutes. Yikes

Berserk Mode

Tom has the ability to channel his rage into a sort of temporary Super Form that restores health overtime. He becomes incredibly strong in comparison to his base capabilities, being unable to take ANY damage until his form runs out (even from enemies who were once comparable to him).

Pyrokinesis

When swallowing Dragon fire, Tom is capable of breathing large amounts of Fire.

Cyrokinesis

As shown above, out of sheer fear Tom can straight up create and spread ice near his body.

Electrokinesis

Tom has the ability to absorb electricity, giving him the ability to fire electricity himself. There’s not really anything notable to mention, besides the fact this MF can fire a KAMEHAMEHA if he absorbs enough electricity.

Gravity Manipulation

Another ability Tom occasionally shows to do is to alter his gravity to stop in the air giving him a brief moment to evade danger he might have fallen into.

Merging

Tom has shown the ability to merge with other people physically, the merged individuals become physically attached and linked; this seems to be the case as Tom and Butch lose physical aspects of their body while merged until they actually detach.

Animation

Tom can bring any non-sentient objects or items to life and can give them commands to help him in a fight. He’s done this very consistently and there doesn’t seem to be a limit to what he can control; for instance he can make his own Shadow sentient just by.... well… existing. Or drawings from his blueprint all of a sudden become real as well. Which is also what is shown in the image above, where Tom creates physical objects by simply drawing them into existence.

Transmutation

In the Pinball Pursuit game, Tom can transform Jerry into a pinball. Given it transforms the physiology of his body there’s no real way to say it isn’t transmutation (that and it seems to turn him completely inanimate). It’s also shown Jerry CAN’T change back despite having shown resistances to transmutation… meaning this would be layered transmutation.

Size Alteration

Tom and Jerry are both capable of growing to a large enough size to be comparable to the planet (hence why Jerry is running around it and looks so large) This is very consistent as it’s shown Tom can just sorta alter his size to whatever he wants.

Digitization

In the Digital world Tom has many powers, like creating digital clones, creating an electric ball of energy that completely vaporizes you, and energy blasts that can erase digital copies and codes

Duplication

In the Target Practice game Tom somehow managed to clone himself, given there’s no mention of machinery or tech it’s likely a natural ability. He’s done this multiple times, across multiple games as seen above.

Werewolf

Tom under the Full Moon can transform into a werewolf…or..a werewolf cat. Werecat? Werecat.

Sayings

Welp, let’s get to it. In the Tom & Jerry universe, practically it is a norm of various sayings that just come true. For instance, one of the sayings is that a dream can come true if you tell it before breakfast, Tom had that case where practically all events that were happening in his dream did happen in the real world since he told it to Jerry and Tuffy before breakfast. Obviously there’s also a Falling Star which fulfilled Tuffy’s wish of being as strong as Spike, there's a wishing bone which can fulfill Tom’s wishes. One of the another sayings “You are what you eat” is also contextualized pretty literally, to the point that your entire physiology kind of starts to change, Tyke after eating seed started to act like a bird and literally fly despite the lack of wings Tom became like a dog after eating dog food, like a monkey after eating a banana, or Spike for instance while eating a cat food became acting like a cat or after eating cheese started to act like mouse, or after eating a carrot started to act like Bugs Bunny (literally). Tom becoming a black cat causes bad luck nearby (not even via aforementioned spell, literally just by painting himself black color). Ducky was causing bad luck by crossing under the ladder. In other words, for comedic purposes, sayings in T&J work in a pretty much literal sense. Not all of them can be applied to be weaponized but they sure have the potential to mess around.

Genie Powers

As a genie Tom has an unlimited supply of wishes to grant and can alter his size to extreme means. His powers of genie should probably be comparable to other genies, like the one that was in witch’s storage capable of amplifying speed to such degrees that you become invisible to the opponent and opponent himself in a slow motion, as well as capable of teleporting and even rewinding time. Another Mouse-like Genie was capable of switching roles between Cat & Mouse (could be either through mind/memory control or literally by switching concepts of mice being pets and cats being pests). It’s also shown that he does have a Genie form that is not binded by the Lamp (as seen in Chase). At the very least, we know Tom is capable of sealing characters into Jars to be used as summons later, (including potentially everyone in the Chase Cast: alternate versions of himself, Jerry, Spike, Bugs Bunny, etc.) which should mean he’s capable of utilizing them himself. Through using a lamp he can force others to become a Binded Genie so they can be sealed inside the lamp for eternity.

Shockwave Creation

In Multiversus if a Character collects enough ‘hearts’ they’re capable of dispersing a massive Shockwave called the ‘Heart Wave Attack!’ which can temporarily paralyze and deal major damage to opponents.

Nine Lives

Essentially Tom just like any Cat has Nine Lives, this is explicitly proven as canon at multiple different intervals and they can be used to bring him back from death. They’re even capable of giving him hints, info, and advice based on the current situation. Even if Tom starts running out of lives, he can apparently just find more, or come back anyway (as shown in the next section right below).

Immortality / Resurrection

So whenever Tom is ACTUALLY killed, as in his regen / extra lives somehow doesn’t save him… he has a secondary failsafe. There’s this Angel Chick who apparently stalks him constantly, she loves Tom… in a number of ways, and due to this she’ll help get all of your lives back and escape hell an INFINITE amount of times (she’s been dead for eternity, nothing better to do). Tom gets a two minute time limit to grab his ‘extra lives / other souls’ usually before the Devil catches him, but GIVEN the events of the game, this shouldn’t be a problem anymore, Tom BEAT the DEVILS ass at the end of the game, and caused him to RUN AWAY. The Devil is not going to mess with Tom; meaning he has a pretty reliable method of coming back to life whenever he wants, really. Even if that wasn’t the case, it’s implied that even if Tom was somehow stuck in Hell, the demons just want him OUT OF THERE, they’ll send him back to Earth in a jiffy. (Not to mention Tom is pretty hard to hurt anyway, the narrator of the show has stated Tom is IMPERVIOUS to pain) On Top of that Tom doesn’t really seem to age, he’s been alive since the Prehistoric era where Dinosaurs resided.

Fourth-Wall Manipulation / Plot Manipulation

He’s consistently aware of the medium he’s in, he has copies of his own comics, he can even do things like: spot subtitles, see brand logos, communicate with his audience, communicate with the narrator, or even run into the fourth wall (or even potentially break it). Tom can ask the audience directly for help: the audience can alter the environment (or even white void everything), they can skip forward in time, erase/remove things inside the book (like paint), summon allies, and conclude the very story itself; even Tom can tug and manipulate the Medium… he helped close the book after all (he’s even done it by himself before). As well as there are cases where Tom & Jerry were interacting with the Narrator, like one time when Jerry was directly messaging to him, or when they asked him to translate what Ducky meant. Tom also just so happens to have the ability to transform into the medium he’s in; if he was in a Book or Novel for instance, he can become the very Book Medium itself… Tom and Jerry are even implied to be capable of leaving the Medium entirely, which is backed up by how they can leave the Film Close Window and interact with this music menu while on top of it. And most BLATANT of all, they literally jumped right out of a TV to leave the Medium they were in (multiple times, I really mean MULTIPLE times). Tom has left to go see his own animator (in the Magic Ring DVD extras), destroyed the Fourth Wall entirely, outright grabbed and stopped the Film closing Window, messed with the film strip and even created the Film Close window to end an episode!

Reality Warping

Like some sort of Reality Bending God, with but a Snap of his finger he can completely alter reality, he’s pretty consistently used Reality Warping to create whatever he wants. He’s used it to manipulate the environment as seen above, though he’s also seemingly used it to manipulate technology and summon DAFFY DUCK? While this COULD be footage of the characters rather than the character itself, that seems very unlikely; the first few times used ACTUAL TVs or screens (aka media), this was in a fish bowl and we can CLEARLY see air bubbles coming from Daffy’s mouth from in the bowl’s water. Given Tom’s Funhouse aired Looney Tunes for quite some time, him having access to the Looney Tunes worlds; as well as Bugs Bunny already being a character summon in the Chase game makes this consistent. Tom has also used his Reality Warping abilities to cut back to the Show and to completely end the medium he’s in; turning off reality in its entirety! (hence why everything turned into a black void behind the curtain). Additionally Tom and Jerry can just think stuff into existence, like the time Tom was thinking of Pancakes and directly pulled them into the real world, or when Jerry just straight out of nowhere started to think knives into existence, or when Tom and Jerry were constructing platforms just by a mere thought. Tom also seems to have access to ‘Paint’ capable of recreating Cartoon Network Worlds and their characters: such as Gumball, the Teen Titans from TTG, We Bear Bears, and more!

Physical Erasure

Tom has the innate ability to basically just Ratio someone out of existence, if he gives you a thumbs down you will be erased entirely, just POOF! The only downside is that it can ONLY work if he’s a registered Hollywood Star living in Hollywood; when Tom quit he lost the power, but given he’s been rich and famous on NUMEROUS occasions (multiple times being hollywood, like they literally have posters for their movies in hollywood indicating he’s still a Star that goes there often), this being standard seems like fair game (albeit a bit harder to pull off). Though if that doesn’t work Tom has also been capable of so THOROUGHLY cleaning someone that their very color and body is erased, only leaving their animation outline behind.

Possession

Possession very likely seems to be the intent of this commercial, we see some of the hand is partially not painted; therefore it’s very clearly just SOME GUYS hand. There’s also not much more added context besides that; given how the two both have perfect body morphing canonically it’d be weird to have an inconsistency like this. They have perfect control of these hands and seem to have taken them over, so the most accurate description would be possession.

Fate Manipulation

Tom was gifted with the power of the Star Element, the Star Element essentially gives you the ability to create a future prophecy that WILL come true no matter what. (I wish for Wile to perma-die, THE END!).

Time / Dimensional Travel

Tom can utilize the Stars of the Fairy God Mother to make portals across space and time (or BFR as seen above). Not only that, but both Angel and Demon Tom were capable of making Space Time Tunnels. Even without the Chase game, he was shown capable of going to other disconnected universes by just walking there… (huh)

Chase Abilities

Pounce: The cat’s attack causes an enemy to drop the item it’s holding and temporarily prevents it from using skills, weapons, and items.

Feline Presence: Puts immense pressure on nearby enemies, reducing their movement speed by 8%.

Skins / Forms

Tom over his years of different shows and media has acquired a TON of different ‘Skins’ that give him a multitude of different abilities and forms.

Tom

Raging Charge

Level 1:

Tom gains a temporary speed boost and temporary immunity to most negative effects. Experiences a short period of fatigue once the effects wear off.

Level 2:

Extends the Skill Duration

Level 3: Can attack more frequently when the skill is active.

Mouse Exterminator

Level 1:

Regains a small amount of HP and gains a speed boost for a period of time after hitting an enemy.

Level 3: Temporarily prevents Enemies from using skills after being hit.

Mouse Grabber

Level 1:

This gadget can Stun enemies and pull in nearby obstacles.

Level 2:

Faster Grabber Speed.

Frying Pan

Level 1:

Tom swings his Frying Pan with all his might, stunning and blinding nearby enemies. The pan can also knock away items flying towards Tom.

Level 2:

The duration of the omelet’s blinding effect is increased. Hitting an enemy with Frying Pan immediately refreshes your attack.

Cowboy Tom

Fighting Bull

Level 1:

Cowboy Tom releases a rampaging bull that stuns any mouse it hits, causing the mouse to lose HP. Any mice hit will not suffer these effects if hit again within a short period of time. Cowboy Tom can directly catch any mouse stunned by the bull. The duration of the bull’s rampage will be reduced when it hits a wall or an enemy character.

More than Enough

Level 1:

Hitting a Mouse with a skill reduces the cooldown time or normal attacks.

Level 2:

Hitting a enemy with a skill causes it to become Wounded. Causing a enemy to enter Weakened State by any means will greatly reduce the cooldown time of your active and weapon skills.

Level 3:

Hitting a Wounded enemy with normal attacks causes it to become Weakened.

Whip

Level 1:

Cowboy Tom attacks with a crack of his whip, increasing his Movement Speed and Attack Rate while reducing the speed of any Enemies it hits. The hit effect can be stacked both for him and Enemies. When stacked 2 times, the stacks will be cleared and grant him a permanent Movement Speed Bonus and Attack Speed Bonus, or reduce an Enemies HP and stun them. The whip can be used to destroy certain items and whipping the fighting bull can also increase its speed.

Level 2:

The Bullwhip causes Enemies to slowly lose HP after being hit and slows them down by a large margin.

Cactus Slingshot

Level 1:

Cowboy Tom takes out his slingshot and fires Little Cacti in 3 directions in front of him, which reduce an enemy’s HP and mark their locations on the mini-map for a period of time. A Little Cactus will increase Cowboy Tom’s movement speed for a period of time when it hits an enemy, which can be stacked twice. Little Cacti can ignore blocking.

Level 2:

A second launch can be made within 7 seconds, which will fire in 5 different directions.

Level 3:

A third can be made, which will fire a Big Cactus that explodes when it touches an enemy or is destroyed, stunning surrounding enemies and splitting into 10 Cactus balls that fly in different directions.

Guard Tom

Spy On

Level 1:

Increases Guard Tom’s field of vision greatly. When he discovers an enemy, his Movement Speed and Jump Height are increased, and at the same time certain types of shield effects are removed from the Enemies, along with their Invisibility and Drink effects. The spotted Enemies are marked on the mini-map and if no one is spotted the Cooldown time for the ability is reduced.

Play it by Ear

Level 2:

Guard Tom is good at chasing down stragglers. If there are fewer than 3 Enemies in a small area nearby, Guard Tom’s Attack and Attack Rate are both improved.

Royal Cannon

Level 1:

Guard Tom rolls the Royal Cannon out to stun nearby enemies and gain a shield effect for a short while. The Cannon can be fired a total of 3 time(s). The hit target’s HP will be lowered, movement will be slowed for a while, and certain types of shield effects will also be removed. At the same time, Guard Tom will get a shield and a great speed boost for a short while.

Level 3:

The Cannon can fire a total of 7 time(s), increasing the slowdown duration on the hit Enemy and not allowing the Enemy to use skills and items during this time.

No Fourth Skill

Musketeer Tom

Knight’s Assault

Level 1:

Musketeer Tom lunges forward with his rapier. If he hits an enemy, he can tap the skill to slash within a short period of time. If he slashes an enemy under their feet, the enemy will be launched up. Tapping the skill again will track the enemy’s position and chain strike them (slashing and chain striking ignores shields and Invincibility). Chain striking reduces an enemy’s HP and slows them, but they can still use skills. Tapping the skill more quickly can increase the slashing speed inflicting Intimidation of enemies hit.

Knight’s Rapier

Level 1:

Increases Musketeer Tom’s attack range with his rapier and adds a light effect to his attacks. Enemies hit by the light effect will be stunned for a short time and lose a small amount of HP. The light effect will not increase skill cooldowns.

Rapier Parry

Level 1:

Musketeer Tom raises his rapier to block item attacks from the direction he faces for a short period of time. Tapping the skill again can deflect items that are still in flight. He can see further than normal, but other Farsight effects will be removed.

Level 3:

Rapier Parry lasts indefinitely.

No Fourth Skill

Angel Tom

Flying Free

Level 1:

Angel Tom plays music to make himself float. Using the skill near a Weakened target will them pray. After praying, the weakened target will be tied to the nearest Rocket.

Enhanced Angel

Level 2: After hitting an enemy with a thrown item, Angel Tom will recover HP and become immune to Stun for 3 seconds.

Level 3:

If a nearby enemy throws an item, Angel Tom’s speed will be increased for 8 seconds.

Gravity

Level 1:

Angel Tom plays music to make up to 3 nearby items float around him. Floating items can partially block damage for Angel Tom.

Level 2: If there aren’t enough items nearby, then items will be summoned from the ether.

Level 3:

Angel Tom won’t enter a Weakened state while items are floating around him.

No Fourth Skill

Devil Tom

Revelry Time

Level 1:

Devil Tom ignites a lively atmosphere and gives a wonderful performance. During the performance, he will be immune to stun and cause continuous damage and slow movement effects to the enemies within skill range. Being "enthusiastic", he invites everyone to have a revelry time together, forcing them to join the Revelry Time. Dance instructions will appear above their heads, and they need to follow the instructions to avoid being punished. Devil Tom will hurt and stun the Failures as punishment.

Painful Empathy

Level 1:

Devil Tom deals extra damage to enemies with abnormal states. (Aka bad status effects increase damage)

Level 2:

Enemies within a certain range of Devil Tom will be Cursed every once in a while, gaining an abnormal state, which spreads their current abnormal state to their surrounding teammates.

Level 3:

Devil Tom gets a buff every time there is no enemy that has an abnormal state nearby.

Chaotic Train

Level 1:

Devil Tom performs a grand ceremony, summoning the Chaotic Train to pull pranks on enemies. The train will collide within a certain range, causing damage and stun effects.

Level 2:

Increases the number of summoned trains. When the train touches Devil Tom himself, it gives him a brief shield.

Level 3:

The number of trains has been further increased, and two trains will appear at the same time.

Resistances

Extreme Cold - Tom as well as other Cats can be FROZEN completely SOLID without the ability to move, YET still break out.

Mind Control - This one was a little bit difficult to find, essentially there’s this bug called the Jayla Bug in the Back to Oz Movie that has the power to forcibly cause people to dance when they come in contact with it, it’s so potent that it even makes inanimate objects with NO BRAIN dance. Tom and Jerry not only has some semblance of control over his actions during this mind control unlike the rest of the cast, but at the end of the movie completely resists the contact effects (hence why they aren’t glowing yellow… which is the indicator for when a person is controlled). Tom was also shown to not be affected by Devilish energy, which can alter your mental state and cause you to go berserk. And if you really want more… he uh… resisted a Laser Sight that Gumball couldn’t resist, yeah sure.

Transmutation - Can change his head back to normal after being transformed into Toast in the Mars Movie, was turned into Paint in the Wonka movie and managed to change back, characters like Spike with similar toon force to Tom can rearrange themselves after being turned into EM wave particles in the same movie. Can move around and change back even when turned into an inanimate Star by the Fairy Godmother.

Power Absorption / Power Null - Devil Tom’s Barrier wasn’t affected by the Darkness, which can absorb and suppress energy through prolonged contact.

Disease - Tom could get close to and kill a Chaos Monster without Devilish Energy causing him to be infected. There’s also the fact that the Star Tree’s power can undo illnesses and heal them in an instant, Tom channels that same Star Power via Star Magic.

Spatial Manipulation - Tom could survive hits from the Nian Beasts, whose claws ‘tore beyond space’.

Soul Manipulation - Even when his 9 lives were ejected from his body, Tom was still alive and could perform actions, albeit they were still hanging onto him. Though there’s another example where all 9 of his lives (souls) leave his body and start flying away and he was completely fine (implying he doesn't need his souls to live).

Plot Manipulation - Despite the original plot being Tom, Jerry and Spike endlessly fighting each other (until Spike stops the fight and suggests peace), they managed to ignore said plot of the movie they were in; in order to watch the current Tom & Jerry fighting. Tom has also outright defied the narrator who was reading out the story supposed to be happening.

Physical Erasure - Tom was unaffected by the Universe being turned off and reduced to a black void (which very clearly erased the other characters). Biff, who is shown as a relative in Toon Force to Tom, survived being in the proximity of an Anti-Matter explosion. (The Doctor is never really implied to have Toon Force hence why he got vaporized, since Biff’s clothes were affected he was clearly close enough to get destroyed but was fine)

Poison / Toxins - Was fine for a prolonged amount of time after being exposed to Gorthan’s ‘Stink Pods’ which exhibit toxic-like gas. Tom was also perfectly fine after being bathed in Super Bubbles which are ‘chemically unstable’. He’s also eaten Glue before with no ill effects, which I don’t think I should have to explain is… NOT something you wanna be doing.

Time Stopping
- Toon Force users similar to Tom like Jerry can negate stopped time when needed; realistically Tom should be able to as well.

Sealing - When trapped as a part of the Cartoon Network logo (as in he appeared to literally be trapped as a 2D part of the Logo) he managed to channel his frustration to undo it. In Tom and Jerry Chase, it’s shown that characters on the level of Bugs Bunny who are stuck being sealed, can be freed via the player (who Tom has access to, hell we've established he can ask the audience for help before). At worst the ability to leave Immersion would be completely viable for escaping Sealing.

Weaknesses

Tom

Obviously if Tom would’ve been perfect he wouldn’t have had much trouble with Jerry in the first place (even though there are a good amount of times when either Tom takes an advantage or even straight up wins). Sometimes it can be bad luck, sometimes it’s just Jerry abusing power - like gaslighting Spike or one of the episodes where Jerry was abusing conditions under which Tom can be rich, or Jerry using some other bigger animal as a bodyguard, etc (you basically get the gist). At his worst, the major mistake Tom does make in a fight against Jerry is perhaps occasionally being way too focused on one thing making him rarely notice other stuff going around, which is how Jerry occasionally managed to use Tom’s own items against him. Tom being way too focused on one thing also makes him open to being distracted from time to time. It’s worth noting however that Tom isn’t always like that and he often manages to either learn from mistakes or even outsmart his equivalents in intelligence when he needs/wants to. But aside from these occasional mindset issues, Tom also pretty much can’t resist tickling [blud gonna get tickled in a fight to the death]. Plus, as cats were doing in these memes, Tom also was pretty much really scared of cucumbers (but if irl it’s explained through association of Cucumbers with snakes, there’s no exact reason in T&J’s cats case, they just seemed to be), though it’s important to note that during said episode Tom also was overcoming said fear and at the end of the episode pretty much was so done with it that he just stopped being scared of it.

Q&A Section

There’s a lot to talk about given how vast Tom’s History can get, but there’s also a lot to clear up given how MESSY that history can be.

Quick Explanation of High Uni, Uni+, and Multi+ Energy Feats

This doesn't really have to do with the blog, but Versus itself and how we'll quantify Tom's bigger feats... though as curtesy to the General Audience we'll try to keep this short. When it comes to High Uni, Uni+, and Multi+ feats they should relatively be the exact same thing. In the words of our dear ol' TMK, "The reason why VSBW makes a distinction between multi+ and high universal is that they interpret destroying the "spacetime" of something as destroying a whole 4th dimensional construct of that thing, and extrapolate that onto affecting multiple universes counting for it because it breaches spacetime continuums. I think that this is a massive extrapolation on a majority of their feats, it is literally just putting dimensional tiering onto something that never specifies this, so I just say that infinite 3D is multi+". Realistically this means that 'High Uni, Uni+, and Multi+' are equivalent via all being being Infinite Force, a majority of Medium destroying feats would effect the space time of the verse as you would expect... meaning a lot of Tom's feats get that high. While there may have been some initial confusion reading through Tom's feats, we hope this clears that up atleast a little.

How Big Are the Heavens and should the Universe be relative in size?

This one is relatively simple to answer, in the Tom & Jerry Chase game, the Heavens in Tom and Jerry are outright compared to the ones from the Wukong Cosmology (given the Mythological theme and showcasing of the Wukong skin), this is further backed up by how the Heavens are outright called Infinite (in Chinese which is the origin of Chase) and ‘Boundless’ (in English) within the event. Relatively this should be a pretty decent way to argue for the Heavens being infinite in size, though there’s a more pressing question to address, could the Universe be relative in scale to the Heavens? Well there should be more than enough evidence to consider them occupying the same Space, Tom visited Heaven before albeit a ‘dream’ via some sort of magic Stairs that rise continuously, but it was outright confirmed to be the same case in the ‘Chase’ game, where it confirms the events of that supposed ‘dream’ really happened (hence why characters in the dream and the stairs exist). You heard it here- you can reach Heaven, via some WACK ass stairs, this is backed up multiple times that you can sorta just go there via traveling, afterall whenever there’s a Heaven gag at all, it’s implied Tom is just going to float up to Heaven, which makes sense given how contextually it’s always shown to us as a place within the Universe. What this means is that the Universe itself would be infinite, as it would always include the Heavens themself.

Droopy and the Cyberdolts Dimensional Tiering Validity

Ok so, this is less necessary and more funny to bring up as to what's been found during the research. Long story short, there's Droopy who is pretty evidently part of Tom & Jerry universe, he and characters from his and other MGM cartoons often appeared either in Tom and Jerry cartoon shows or other media like movies, games, even straight up a show where Droopy and Tom & Jerry co-existed. This brings up other cartoons with MGM characters including “Droopy: Master Detective”. In this cartoon there's an episode called “Droopy and the Cyberdolts” which features a villain Tara Boom Boom, who exists in the 6th dimension. Droopy to get to her also pretty much got into this “6-th dimension” through some weird means. Would that give Tom & Jerry 6D cosmology to scale? Not exactly. Droopy's showing of the Sixth Dimension is quite peculiar, there doesn't really seem to be enough evidence to prove it's really a higher dimension. While it is numbered a higher dimension, there's never any showing of Spatial Dimensional Depth in Droopys presentation, Sixth Dimensional inhabitants are clearly shown as relative to 3-Dimensional Ones, Droopy just spontaneous managed to get there which should be impossible, and there's no dimensional theories in Droopy or Tom and Jerry to back up this claim, his white board and explanation also just seems to be gibberish. Simply put, while it's quite a really unexpected feat to see, it doesn't have enough evidence to be considered viable. It's still funny as hell though.

How Impressive is Devil Tom Reacting to and Halting the Darkness that could Consume the Life/Star Tree?

Essentially there was an event during the Tom and Jerry Chase game where we got some story relevancy to the Cosmology of the verse. In the story we’re told there’s this huge tree called the Life Tree whose branches and leaves embody ALL worlds, all Galaxies, and Space Time; it’s the Origin of EVERYTHING (it’s literally the Chapter title). This also includes separate realms of course, like Heaven, which is heavily implied to be infinite in size. The story delves into a destructive force called the Darkness, something that could completely overtake the tree given enough time. The Life Tree wasn’t capable of purging the Darkness in the end, infact utilizing ALL of its power still couldn’t end the Darkness, the Darkness was stated to be able to sap away all of its energy. When the Darkness covered ALL of Heaven and the Abyss, Devil Tom was capable of REACTING to the Darkness mid-motion, Forming a Barrier, and PROTECTING the entire realm of the Abyss from that destruction. Meaning that Devil Tom would not only scale to the Cosmology, but was capable of reacting to a force that can spread across Space and Time via sheer speed. If we take the fact that it’s a tree literally, then no matter what it’d get Multi ranges- as EVERY year a tree remains alive it can grow a total of around 200,000 leaves… considering this tree is supposed to be the ORIGIN of every living thing it could get as high as 681 Trillion x Uni (Age of Universe * 200,000). This could admittedly get higher, but we never get any visuals of the Tree in comparison to the Universe. (so yeah that’s it)

Regarding Looney Tunes Scaling

It was somewhat inevitable—Looney Tunes, much like Tom & Jerry, follows an extremely loose canon where any iteration of the characters can be interpreted as the same individual. That tends to occur after a run spanning over 50 years. The most prominent instance is when Bugs Bunny appears in the Tom & Jerry Chase universe. He's explicitly not just a skin in the game but a character summoned through the magic mirror, possessing his own set of abilities and story. Bug’s story for why he’s in Chase explicitly details his accidental transfer from his world, where he was happily digging holes, before ending up in a separate realm—the magic mirror void—where he became trapped until the Player freed him. In the Chase series, his attack and speed are depicted as relative to all characters of the Tom & Jerry universe, which gives us a clear scaling chain. Even disregarding Chase, which would make no sense mind you, Tom has had numerous different crossovers with the Looney Tunes verse some of which I’m sure you haven’t even heard of. The next point of discussion involves the highly controversial existence of Multiversus. There are substantial disagreements among people regarding its use in versus scenarios, though it can all be summarized in one idea, the story. There's the argument that the game lacks lore, potentially making it less likely to be considered canon. Not only do the two series we're attempting to scale have a loose canon (Tom & Bugs), but it's evident that the characters in Multiversus are meant to be representations from their original universes. This is highlighted by instances like Lebron's team-up with Bugs Bunny from Space Jam being referenced. Even if we were to disregarded the fact that it SHOULD be the exact same Bugs, Tom could be scaled to the same Lebron who is VERY clearly supposed to be his canon self and was relative to the canon Bugs (scaling chains, amirite?), so no matter what Tom has been shown as relative in gameplay. Moreover, while the game itself currently lacks a comprehensive lore due to the full story not being released yet, we have a reasonably clear idea of what it might entail. The premise revolves around an entity known as "The Nothing," a force capable of multiversal-scaled dimensional destruction, combating an entity known as “The Something”, who has relocated characters from their respective universes into an isolated alternate dimension in hopes of totaling their power to overcome ‘The Nothing’. The brief descriptions we've received imply that Tom will play a significant role in combating these entities, despite how characters like Bugs and Lebron are also present, which in itself is pretty compelling evidence for scaling (nothing else really to cover on Multiversus, so let’s move on). Lastly, delving into the additional pieces of scaling, they offer supplementary evidence rather than forming the core argument. Tom's scaling to the Looney Tunes verse manifests in numerous instances, both conspicuous and subtle. For example, in the Warner Brothers crossover with Teen Titans Go, the expansive Warner Brothers catalog, encompassing the Tom & Jerry and Looney Tunes universes, converges for an extravagant Studio Party. Throughout this gathering, it becomes evident that virtually EVERYONE present is on a relative scale. Although Tom and Wile aren't prominently featured on screen (are you really going to tell me that the Jetsons have Wile level Glass), the underlying implication is quite apparent. In fact, about five random bystander characters (and a few more later) endure hits from Taz without much issue which plays into the idea of all the shown verses being relative. Even setting that aside, the entire assembly of the Warner Casts at the episode's conclusion, which includes Tom (summoned to be present), demonstrates synchronized running while attempting to chase down Robin, with no notable differences in speed among them; note that they were VERY clearly ALL pissed off and TRYING to catch him. This collective action indicates a relative scaling among the characters, at the very least in speed (this is backed up by how Tom is shown as relative in speed to other Tunes in Comic Covers). There are a few other things, like the numerous crossover Cartoon Network games on the website, though given Tom rarely if ever interacts in those games, it’s likely unusable. (though if you want more side evidence, y’know… there you go, Tom can outhoop Wile therefore he speed scales tbhtbh…)

Now obviously this brings in a question about opinion on crossover scaling at all. After all, usually it’s pretty much prohibited, either because it’s obviously not canon or characters obviously have some clear difference to be called out the same as the original. Like obviously when there’s something like Mario characters vs Sonic characters debates you don’t scale them to each other through an Olympic Games, after all, both have somewhat of a lore/story. Even when Death Battle did use crossover scaling it had some basic context like Scooby-Doo having lots of crossovers in the first place and Courage’s crossover with Scoob being a somewhat important part of his story. Can a similar context apply to Tom? In a way. Of course, it’s not a necessary for Tom to have scaling to Looney Tunes characters, in context of next match up though being Wile E. Coyote - a Looney Tunes character, Tom’s scaling to Looney Tunes can be used to basically cancel out DC scaling which uses somewhat similar reasons as Tom’s for scaling to Looney Tunes like using said DC scaling to cancel out Kingdom Hearts scaling in Disney vs Looney Tunes fights or having a “plot” (oh and well, it’s been awhile now since T&J belongs to Warners now so) and etc. To summarize, there are a decent amount of instances of Tom & Jerry having crossovers with Looney Tunes, loose canon of both verses does open a possibility for it but mainly it's here rather to cancel out cross scaling. Obviously, if looking from the perspective of the episode, it's unknown what route Death Battle researchers would take themselves, but given the Scourage circumstance it is not a bad possibility (it’s probably kind of case where you either do scale them to each other or don’t do crossover shenanigans). It's important to note however that if it does apply it's only really makes stats equal to each other, IT DOES NOT MEAN that Tom vs Wile will be a tie because of that, the thing with Scooby vs Courage is not just stats being equal but both practically canceling each other out (this doesn't mean ties are impossible either, any fight can be a tie at some circumstance, which is rather what Scooby vs Courage should be a proof of). Both Tom and Wile have practically another set of moves and bigger potential for more wincons.

Elaborating on Tom’s Unique DNA! (Specifically to troll Wile)

Ok so let’s do some history here. During ToC Wile was found out having an “Anti-Looney” Gun that disables DNA of Looneys that is responsible for regeneration. This essentially led people to assert that Wile would completely disable Tom in EVERY conceivable way. We'll keep this brief as we don't want to detract from a blog that primarily focuses on Tom. Let's address a few misconceptions: First, Wile’s Anti-Looney Gun doesn't disable Toon Force itself; it specifically targets the DNA responsible for REGENERATION. Second, Wile’s Gun exclusively targets Looney-DNA, not just any DNA. In Tom's case, he possesses his own unique DNA strand, as seen above, and there's no reason to believe Tom has Looney DNA at all, considering they belong to different series. If anything, the Anti-Looney Gun is an ANTI-feat for the Tunes, implying that manipulating them genetically would disable their regeneration. Even if we gave Wile the benefit of the doubt, his Gun is explicitly ONLY affecting DNA and there’s no reason to believe that Tom’s Ghost regeneration relies on such a thing whatsoever (ghosts don’t have DNA lol) so there's no room to give Wile any advantage in this case. It's been somewhat tiring to see the debate consistently boil down to a simplistic 'lol bye bye toon force' when that's a gross oversimplification of the gun, and it's not even its primary function. Surely Wile has more than that, to go for him, with his large history in the Looney Tunes series (and hey, we heard other folks are doing Wile blog so who knows, we’ll see what they can bring into discussion), so it shouldn’t be the exact focus in a debate.

Some final words from the Team

Oleggator

Alright, we’re nearing the end of this blog so let that sink in our heads. There was really a lot of stuff to look into, and practically there still is, Tom and Jerry is a very large franchise and when having that at hand, surely we’re bound to have some neat things, but I’d be lying if I tell you that all this stuff wasn’t unexpected. From some simple equipment to lots of 4-th wall shenanigans, to lifting the sun while drunk and so much more, this cat & mouse series went beyond expectations whether in terms of power scaling or just pure slapstick humor. This isn’t like a verdict so just to keep things simple, I think it helps to give the idea that someone as old and relevant as Tom from Tom & Jerry can go beyond in terms of what to expect, especially when series like his are that under researched. Hope you, the reader of this blog, was just as surprised, or at least impressed and satisfied with this amount of found pieces of material.

Also Shiki vs Kat and Omori vs Raz are awesome ngl, you guys should talk about it more, am I right Mario?

…Mario, what are you doing-OH SHOOT!

So this was the first ever character blog I ever participated in, and I had tons of fun researching one of childhood cartoons. I never thought Tom would get this far considering how he was normally treated in media, but I'm very happy to give him the recognition and admiration he deserves. He's had so much history and it was so fun seeing how much he has grown from just being a normal house cat catching a mouse for his owner, to crossing over with many franchises and having many movies and series. Tom is such a recognizable character and it was awesome to to participate in this πŸ”₯

The Monster King

Blud likes Shiki vs Kat… do it for the next Death Battle

When Stars was begging me to join this blog, the first thing I thought of was how this reminded me of how I intended to plead my case to Death Battle for making an episode about the matchup "Shiki vs Kat", from Edens Zero and Gravity Rush respectively. Who wouldn't want to see a high quality 3D brawl between two powerful gravity manipulators???

But, I don't want to get off topic. I knew going into this that Tom was pretty underresearched, and not many people knew his true capabilities. Much like how BOTH Shiki and Kat began their journeys, not knowing their true origins, which the audience would then learn that they both are actually kings/queens from another time period who sacrificed themselves trying to save an untold amount of lives rather than saving themselves, and they have to reveal their pasts to prevent a cosmic calamity.

Still, I think the blog team did an amazing job researching Tom and we really added a lot to this. This blog is almost as amazing as the stellar fight potential between Shiki and Kat, using their versatile gravity powers against one another which can be accompanied by marvelous choreography. Did you know that both Shiki and Kat even use wormholes mid combat???

As you can see in this blog, Tom has a lot of weird abilities and feats, kind of like how weird it is that both Shiki and Kat have a "cat" side kick who has saved them from death. What are the chances?!?!?

I am a little worried about Stars though. It doesn't seem like he has very many friends. (LIES!) He should take a page from Shiki and Kat, who both had to learn to forge relationships and friendships in an unfriendly, alien world.

So I think with all that said, you can see why Shiki vs Kat is probably the greatest conception in human history since the idea of Democracy.

I’ve always felt like Tom wasn’t really all that well looked into because of how much media he had under his belt, but some of the stuff that we found during our research was pretty baffling (mainly the gacha game). It was a blast to go back through the series and see it evolve over the years while also learning some new things that weren’t really brought up until now, the main reason I wanted to help out with this was to give TomWile some more potential for people to discuss outside of the kamehameha (which while could lead for a cool moment, Tom using the anti-slip boots to counter Wile trying to use a banana peel is more comedic and peak tbh). If you’ve made it this far into the character blog, thank you for taking the time to read through this and hopefully you’ve enjoyed finding out about what tomfoolery Tom is capable of in a fight.

Stars

Well, well, well, it seems the blog is finally reaching its conclusion. After procrastinating on a Tom blog for almost five months, and then rallying the squad together, it took another few months to materialize. How time flies. Throughout this process, I've come to truly appreciate Tom for all he's worth. He's more than just a goofy cat engaged in wacky antics with a mouse. Tom, at this point, symbolizes much more—he's a representation of the imagination and fun that only cartoons can bring to everyday life. His character illustrates the struggle of someone contending with constant losses and deteriorating luck, yet persisting and finding success in unexpected ways. Though more than that delving into a character with SUCH A LENGTHY has been a treat to all of us, sure it was hard, but it was so entertaining to see the types of crazy antics and feats this Cat was capable of (like who thought this mf could literally summon Wiles own HOMIES to beat his ass). Though there is one thing I'd like to bring up... TMK STINKS, THIS MF A FREELOADER AND DID ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!!! I WILL PERSONALLY SEE TO IT THAT KAT VS SHIKI NEVER GETS ON DEATH BATTLE (Better than Kat vs Ochako though - Oleggator)… AND YOU TELL TMK THAT HE’LL NEVER EAT IN THIS TOWN AGAIN! WE FOUND THIS AMAZING TREDECILLION C DROOPY FEAT AND HE DEBUNKED IT INSTANTLY, YOU STINK... I AM THROWING TOILET PAPER ON YOUR HOUSE, SLEEP WITH ONE EYE OPEN YOU PIECE OF- As this blog concludes, it's clear that Tom's significance extends far beyond the realm of animated comedy; he stands as an enduring symbol of the indomitable human spirit, wrapped in the delightful package of cartoon charm. (Though if you want to know what type of blog I’m doing next, yeah it’s probably Nemesis vs Fleetway lol I’m not planning to do that any time soon though, so just keep your eyes and ears open for that) Also please for the love of God, NO KAMEHAMEHA, STOP IT… it’s all Y’ALL BRING UP I will TRACK ALL OF YOU DOWN… Death Battle better use the Yang Jian form or I’m posting 9000 debunk threads… >:(

(On another note Tom did a single Wile reference out of all his material, but it's there... better show up in the Death Battle)
